Being a part of the industry now feels so exciting because it really feels like women are paving a way through after a long history of being under appreciated. Having us in the conversation is so important, if not for the importance of young girls having role models to look up to, but the way in which we can feel and express our emotions so deeply — it writes some damn good music! I feel very proud to be a female producer, and although it can be a little daunting being in such a male dominated field - the space is slowly but surely expanding to let women in.
